Clinical Trials Roundtable: The Impact of Compensation on Patient Participation
August 9, 10am EST / 3pm UK
Paying patients for their participation in clinical research isn’t new. In fact, it’s a widely accepted industry practice. Yet, the debate persists: Is there a “right” way to compensate individuals who enroll in clinical trials?
In March of 2022, Citeline Connect patient referral partner 1nHealth – a subjects-centric digital technology company utilizing big data analysis to tap qualified and engaged subjects – conducted research to gauge whether financial compensation is a motivating factor for both survey and clinical trial participation and at what price point.
We’ll sit down with key stakeholders to discuss the results of 1nHealth’s research, with an emphasis on:
- Main motivations for clinical trial participation
- Whether participants’ behavior reflects their motives
- The compensation threshold that drives the most efficient and diverse study enrollment and retention
We encourage all audience members to weigh in with their thoughts and experiences throughout the discussion. What does the “right” way to compensate patients look like to you?
